As a local real estate professional, I've watched this area continue to grow while still maintaining the open desert landscapes that make Southern Arizona so special.

One of the things I love about Marana is how many different lifestyles it can accommodate.
You can find established neighborhoods, newer master-planned communities, golf course homes, luxury properties, homes with larger lots, and even acreage where you have significantly more room to spread out.
That variety makes Marana worth exploring whether you're purchasing your first home, looking for more space, downsizing, or searching for something completely different.
Dove Mountain Is a Major Draw
Dove Mountain is one of the best-known areas within Marana and for good reason.
The community is surrounded by beautiful desert and mountain scenery and offers access to golf, hiking, resorts, parks, and miles of trails. You'll find everything from relatively low-maintenance homes to custom luxury properties.
For buyers who want newer amenities while still feeling connected to the desert, Dove Mountain can be an excellent place to start looking.
Outdoor Living Is Part of the Lifestyle
If hiking, biking, golf, or simply spending time outside is important to you, Marana offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
The Tortolita Mountains provide a dramatic backdrop to much of the area, while nearby trail systems make it easy to explore the desert.
And, of course, Arizona sunsets are hard to beat.
Marana Is Growing
Marana has experienced significant growth, bringing more shopping, restaurants, services, and community amenities to the area.
That growth can be attractive to buyers who want suburban convenience without giving up easy access to Tucson.
Different parts of Marana can feel very different, though, which is why I always encourage buyers to explore beyond the photos they see online.
You Can Still Find Space
One of Marana's biggest advantages is the opportunity to find properties with more land.
Depending on where you're looking, you may find larger residential lots, horse properties, acreage, or vacant land where you can explore building your own home.
If land is important to you, there are additional factors to investigate, including zoning, utilities, water, road access, easements, and building restrictions.
Having someone familiar with these types of properties can make a big difference.

There isn't one neighborhood that's perfect for everyone.
